Back...

It's been that long? I have no idea that I've been away from blogging for so long. Maybe it's because I have little personal time for me to do anything.

A quick update....

So what's been happening in my life? There are obviously ups and downs. Sho Shweet and I are constantly being strong for each other. Although I have little time to spend with her (Sorry Dear), I promise that I'll be there for her always. Hopefully, I can spend more time with her. Since getting married, my responsibilities are greater as my responsibilities do not only fall on me, but also on my wife and my extended family members. I have to be there for them whenever needed, and I feel I need to do something to lessen their 'burden'. Anyway, all of them have been very nice and patient with me. I sincerely thank them for that.

That aside....

My interest in tech gadgets is still in me. Since my marriage, I've purchased a few items, let see if i can list all of them here....

1) One Sony 'Red' Playstation Portable
2) One Creative Zen 4GB Player
3) One I-mate Ultimate 9502 Pocket PC Phone

I think that's all that I've purchased since my marriage.

Although I've spent quite a sum, I constantly am saving monthly, mainly to buy for ourselves our own home. Looking for a re-sale flat. As most of you know, the cash over valuation can be a killer. Hopefully, we'll have our dream home sooner or later.

I am feeling optimistic for the future, whatever it is, family is my top priority. Till then, may peace be upon all of you.

Hi there peeps. Dzul asked me to update this blog. Heh well what can I say? Hmm, let's see. It's been 2 weeks already. Can't believe it. 2 years of engagement and here we are, 2 weeks married. Its been good, the hubster has been really sweet and the family is really kanchiong, making sure I treat him and feed him well. You will see him gaining a few pounds soon enough.

How's the honeymoon u asked? Fabulous. This is our first trip together, and me, my first time travelling without the family. As soon as the plane took off, god knows how many prayers I recited. Haha. We landed safely in Krabi at 9 pm Krabi time and after the long queue at the airport, we finally made our way and look for the people who's suppose to pick us up. The signage was small la I tell you, about A4 size paper. How to see from far like that? But they're friendly people, as the Thai people are known for and very efficient. "Sawadeeka, my name is June and welcome to Krabi, a lovely place with lovely people" hehe.

So they drove us to Sheraton Krabi. The roads were not well lit like Singapore, for those of you who have been to Port Dickson at night, you'll know what I mean. After checking in and such, we ordered some food and fell asleep.

Day 2, we went to Ao Nang after breakfast. It took around 15 minutes to get there from our hotel and it's a shopping place for tourists. Naturally you have to haggle the price. Its a longggg lonnnngggg stretch of road with a few halal restaurants to my relief. We ate at a restaurant by the beach with a kick-ass tom yam before continuing with out shopping. We got back to our hotel just in time to take a shower, change and had our complimentary dinner at the hotel's restaurant. The food was okok and I didn't finish mine.

Day 3, we decided to go on an island hopping tour. I thought of going to Phi Phi Island but hubster was against it since the activities were mostly snorkeling. So we went to Hong Island instead where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful clear beach. Dzul did some snorkeling while I watched since I can't swim even if my life depend on it. Took some picture, ate delicious lunch and went to 2 smaller islands. The speedboat ride freaked me out I tell you, luckily I took motion sickness pill. But it was fun!

Day 4, after our breakfast, we did some last minute packing and checked out. Our tour guide arrived on time and took us on a city tour. Now Krabi town is small I tell you, more like Terengganu or Kelantan Town. Old looking shopping centre and the stuffs are catered for the locals. Didn't buy anything there but splurged abit when they brought us to the souvenier shops. By the time they sent us to Tesco Lotus (equivalent to Johore Jusco) I'm missing Singapore already and can't wait to be back. Alas, our flight was delayed for about an hour. Slept my way through the journey back and when I opened my eyes, the sight of brightly lit Singapore greeted me.

Check out our pics, along with the video montage that Sudirman made (thanks! :D) at the photo and video section of my multiply HERE :D

It's Getting Nearer!

6th September 2007 marked the 3rd year myself and Sho Shweet got together and 10th September 2007 will be our 2nd year of engagement. A few months soon after will be our wedding ceremony. Preparations are well underway.

Today, as early as 8am, we left home to proceed to Fort Canning Park, Registry of Muslim Marriages (ROMM) to be exact. Heavy rain did not deter us from our 'mission'. Finally, after an hour or so, we registered our marriage. The process with the registrar was straight forward, no question too difficult for me to answer.

Together with Sho Shweet family, we then had our breakfast @ Arab Street before heading to Mustafa Centre. There, they bought a number of VCDs, mainly Karaoke ones and of course, for Sho Shweet, her Hindi-related VCDs.

Peninsula Plaza was next, where Sho Shweet's dad went to a shop for alterations to be done on his coat. Straight after that, we went to Joo Chiat Complex. More Karaoke VCDs were bought and Sho Shweet (actually her dad) purchased a beautiful but expensive (to me atleast!) Baju Kebaya. Really looks nice on her.

We proceeded back to Tampines to have our lunch @ Habibie, before I headed back home.

Going to meet Sho Shweet again soon.

This time just the two of us ;-)

It's 8th August!

It's already 8th of August! I've been on leave since last Friday, and how fast the days had gone by. Tomorrow, 9th of August, our country's birthday, I'll be reporting back to work. Sho Shweet told me, people will be having their holiday but I have to work instead. I always replied by saying, "If I do not work, who will keep Singapore and her citizens safe?" And Sho Shweet will make faces at me.

Anyway, I've been spending my time with Sho Shweet. Last Sunday, we celebrated my birthday and also our 35th month together. One more month to 3yrs of a lovely relationship and one more month to our 2nd year of engagement and 4 more months to our marriage! Sense of excitement and anxiousness surround me whenever I think about my wedding day. Wedding preparations are well underway and hopefully all will proceed fine.

Sho Shweet bought me a nice pair of spectacles for my birthday. Cost a bomb but she really wanted to buy it for me. I'm a sucker for spectacles. Now I have a total of four pair of spectacles. Thinking of buying another one just before my wedding.

For our celebration last Sunday, Sho Shweet gave me a treat @ SOFRA, for a fine Turkish dining. We then watched The Simpsons Movie @ GV Marina and it's money well-spent as the movie is so damn bloody funny. After which, we went dutch for chocolate fondue @ Haagen Daaz, Esplanade. Yummy.

I really enjoyed my time with Sho Shweet. Thank You dear!

And...thanks to all for the birthday wishes! 24years of my life have passed and I'm looking forward for the upcoming years, Insyaallah.

Oh yah...HAPPY BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!
